Performance Evaluation of Different Mobile Ad-hoc Network Routing Protocols in Difficult Situations

Performance evaluation of Mobile Ad-hoc Network (MANET) routing protocols is essential for selecting the appropriate protocol network. Many and different simulation tools were proposed to address this task. This paper will introduce an overview MANETs as well evaluate MANET performance by using three reactive protocols—Dynamic Source Routing (DSR), Ad-Hoc On-demand Distance Vector (AODV), Dynamic On-Demand (DYMO)—in scenarios. These scenarios are designed carefully mimic real situations OMNET++. The first scenario evaluates when number nodes increases. In second scenario, network be evaluated in presence obstacles. third a group suddenly shut down during communication. carried out terms packets received, end-to-end delay, transmission count or overhead, throughput, packet ratio.
